Additional Requirements for Advanced Certification:
A. Professional Educator License
- Successful completion of the Transition Resident Educator Program, including mentoring and formative assessment.
B. Senior Professional Educator License
- Master’s Degree.
- Nine (9) years of licensed teaching experience, 5 of which must be under the Professional Educator License.
- Successful Completion of the Master Teacher Portfolio.
C. Lead Professional Educator License
- Master’s Degree.
- Nine (9) years of licensed teaching experience, 5 of which must be under the Professional Educator or Senior Professional Educator License.
- Successful Completion of the Master Teacher Portfolio AND attainment of the Teacher Leader Endorsement OR active National Board Certification.
